  • Trash Turtles Recycling Craft

    Join us on June 27 at 4pm at Foster Public Library for an informative program and a fun craft. Melissa will teach us all about turtles, and how we can help them thrive. Next we’ll make a our own turtles out of reused objects to prevent them from becoming pollution! Please call or sign up online to register.

  • Foster Community Pantry

    Summer is a tough time for food security, especially in a food desert like Foster. The library will accept donations of nonperishable food items for our community pantry. Give as you can, and take as you need.

    In addition to food, we accept household goods like detergent and art supplies. Redistribute your unneeded items amongst your community!

  • “How do I…?” Intro to Library Resources

    Our libraries have answers to questions you didn’t even know you had! From job hunting to learning a language to reading new magazines on your home computer, we’ll teach you how to access all the valuable FREE(!) resources our library has to offer.

    This program will take place on June 11 at 6:30pm at Foster Public Library. Feel free to bring your laptop or smart device to follow along. You can register in person, online, or by phone. If you have any specific questions about library technology or resources, let us know in advance so we can prepare for you!

  • Birds, Bees, and Botany

    Join the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Services to learn about the plants and pollinators in your area! We’ll learn how to make our backyards friendly to the animals that help our gardens grow.

    The program runs at 10am on May 18 at Foster Public Library. Call, stop by, or register online to sign up.

    Summary: A young boy suffers from lack of impulse control and learns to deal with it.

    Cathy says: Many young children act out inappropriately from time to time. This sweet book gives children a positive way to control the impulses.
