    Join us for our first mushroom identification walk of the year! Local mycologist Deana Thomas joins us to identify all the forms of fungi around Foster.

    The walk will start at Foster Library on Saturday, April 6 at 11am. Registration is required. Sign up in person, by phone, or online.

    Ladd Observatory’s Francine Jackson is coming to Tyler Free Library to tell us all about the upcoming eclipse! Find out what causes this astronomical phenomenon and learn how to view it safely.

With the increasing accessibility of audiobooks, ebooks, graphic novels, and other ways to read…. what really counts as reading? What about podcasts and comic books? There are so many ways to enjoy media, how do you choose?

    Next time, Foster and the People will move on to movies: what makes a good adaptation and why TV DOESN’T make your brain rot, actually.

    Almost time for planting! Come to either library to grab flowers, vegetables, and herbs for the upcoming year. First come, first served! Get them before they’re gone!

  • Easter at the Fairgrounds

    Join us at the Foster Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 23 for an amazing Easter egg hunt!

    Arrive at 10:30am and be prepared to start hunting for eggs at 11am. The rain date will be on Sunday, March 24.

  • Decoupage & Beyond

    Join us for an evening of egg decoration at Foster Public Library! On March 12, we will set up everything you need to make beautiful Easter decorations. Stop by anytime from 5:30-7:30pm. Let us know you’re coming by signing up in person, by phone, or online.

    Got a puzzle you don’t need anymore? Looking for a new puzzle to challenge yourself? Throughout the month of March, come to Foster Public Library any time to take a puzzle or leave a puzzle. We’ll have space to complete a community puzzle too!

  • Cookies & Colors

    Adults need to destress too! Join us for an evening of coloring pages and enjoying cookies at Foster Public Library on Tuesday, March 19!

    We have plenty of coloring pages and materials, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Drop in any time between 6pm and 8pm.
