  • “Emily Finds a Dollar” Storytime

    Join us for a special storytime at Foster Public Library on May 31 at 1pm as Susana M. Sollaccio of Freedom Financial shares her children’s book, Emily Finds a Dollar!

    The reading will take place during our regular homeschooler’s book club. All are welcome to join. Advance registration is not required, but if you would like to let us know to expect you, please call either library, use our online form, or drop by in person to register.

  • Summer Wreaths

    Deck your door with beach-worthy decor! Join us at Tyler Free Library on June 7 at 6:30pm to make summer wreaths with nautical and floral theming.

    Materials are limited, so please register by signing up in person, calling either library, or using our online form.

  • Bring Your Thing! May Edition

    Got an unfinished project rattling around in your drawer, waiting to be completed? Have a fun craft that you just haven’t had the time to dedicate? Bring it to the Foster Library on Tuesday, May 16 at 5:30pm!

    Bring whatever you want to work on, no matter how big or small: from scrapbooking to knitting to sewing to writing the next great American novel.

    Join other creatives for company, conversation, and accountability while you make some progress on your personal project! Refreshments will be provided as well.

  • Cookbook Club: May 2023

    Cookbook Club will meet at 6pm on May 4th at the Foster Center Baptist Church. Bring a vegetarian recipe to share with the group and utensils to try them out! Cookbook Club always welcomes new members.

    If you miss this meeting, no worries. The Cookbook Club will meet on the first Thursday of every month at the Foster Center Baptist Church. Stay tuned for each month’s theme. Hope you can join us!

  • Fly Tying Workshop

    Calling all aspiring anglers! Join us in May to learn the art of fly tying.

    There are two sessions on Thursday, May 18 and Thursday, May 25. Both sessions take place at 6:30pm at Foster Public Library. All materials will be provided. Please register by signing up in person, calling either library, or emailing lplante@fosterlibraries.org.

  • Duckling Days

    *EDIT: There will be no ducklings at Foster Public Library. Please go to Tyler Free Library if you would like to visit the ducklings!*

    Tyler Free Library will be hosting newly-hatched ducklings on the first weekend of May!

    On May 5, join us for our regular Friday storytime at 12:30pm at Tyler Free Library, where we will have a few ducklings visiting.

    On May 6, there will be ducklings at Tyler Free Library during operating hours (12pm-4pm). Drop in anytime the snuggle some baby ducks! This is also the date of our plant identification event at Tyler Free.

  • Spring Book Sale

    Join us at Foster Public Library to take home some of our excess books!

    The sale will take place from 10-2pm on Saturday, April 29 at Foster Public Library. If the weather cooperates, the sale will take place outside. Hope you can join us!

  • Mushroom Identification Walk

    *Note: This event has reached capacity, but please sign up to join our waitlist in case of last-minute cancellations.*

    *NEW DATE: Due to the expected forecast, the walk has been postponed to June 17.*

    Join us on Saturday, June 17 at 10:15am for a mushroom identification walk! The group will be led be Deana Thomas as she takes us through the amazing fungal life that can be found at Borders Farm.

    The walk will begin at the 31 North Road parking area. Register for this event by signing up in person, calling either library, emailing ofriederich@fosterlibraries.org, or using our online form.

  • Canine First Aid Training

    Join us at Foster Public Library at 5:30pm on May 18 for canine first aid training! Certified dog trainer Sher Rossi will teach you all about emergency health care for puppies, from CPR to tick bites. Her two dogs will be present for the demonstration. Everyone who registers for the event will receive a bag of first aid supplies.
