  • Nautical Gnomes

    Join us at Tyler Free Library on Saturday, July 22 at 1pm for a really cute needle felting workshop! We’ll be making summer-themed gnomes out of wool, with shells and decorations that make it look like they’re guardians of the beach.

    This event is intended for ages 10+. A materials fee of $5 is requested to cover the cost. Space is limited, so please register by signing up in person, calling either library, emailing ofriederich@fosterlibraries.org, or using our online form.

  • Indoor Campfire & S’mores

    Celebrate summer in style! Join us on July 6 at 6:30pm at Foster Public Library for an indoor campfire and s’mores. Camping has never been more comfortable!

  • Read-Aloud with Miss Plante

    Join us at 4:30pm on Wednesday, July 5 at Foster Public Library for a special summer reading read-aloud! Miss Plante from Captain Isaac Paine School will be this afternoon’s reader. Make sure you get a passport stamp for any books you read!

  • Read-Aloud with Mrs. A and Brynlee

    Join us at Foster Public Library at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 11 for a special guest storytime. Mrs. A from Captain Isaac Paine School and Brynlee will read some great books for you!

  • Graffiti Art Day

    Join us at Foster Public Library on Thursday, July 13 at 5pm for a graffiti art day! We’ll be working together to create a communal masterpiece with everyone’s unique style on display. No registration necessary.

  • Children’s Yoga

    Ms. Kaleena from Soulshine Center for Yoga is coming to Foster Public Library on July 20 at 10am! She will lead you in a relaxing yoga session to stretch our your body and calm your mind.

    If you have one, please bring your yoga mat. If you don’t have one, we will have a few extras to share.

  • Bead Your Art Out!

    Join Eva and Lindsey to make friendship bracelets for summer on June 29, 4:30pm at Foster Public Library!

    If you miss this event, we’ll have beading kits available in July!

  • Summer Reading 2023

    Children’s Summer Reading is finally here! Pick up your welcome packet at either library. Each packet comes with a passport to record the books you read, pens, stickers, bookmarks, and more. Whenever you come into the library, you can receive a stamp for every 5 books or 30 minutes you read, by yourself or with someone else.

    The theme for this year’s summer reading is Find Your Voice. We have a ton of fun summer events that will help you explore that theme. Check back on our website and social media for all the latest info.

  • Mangia with Micheline – Cooking Demonstration

    *UPDATE: The location of this event has changed from Foster Public Library to Tyler Free Library. All participants who already signed up will be notified.*

    On July 18 at 6pm at Tyler Free Library, we are thrilled to host Micheline Lombardi, local cookbook writer and food columnist. Everyone registered will get to try her famous pasta!

    Join us at Tyler Free Library on July 19 at 5:30pm for a craft that’s sweet as honey! We’ll be making decorative beehives to display in your home.
