{"id":2436,"date":"2015-01-29T14:08:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-29T19:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fosterlibraries.org\/?page_id=2436"},"modified":"2015-01-29T14:08:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-29T19:08:00","slug":"laptop-loan-policy-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fostercommunitylibrary.org\/?page_id=2436","title":{"rendered":"Laptop Loan Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">The Libraries of Foster<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Laptop Loan Policy<\/h2>\n<p>Laptops are available to extend the Libraries\u2019 Internet service and to offer the use of Microsoft Office software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible laptop user:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User must be a registered OSL cardholders in good standing (no lost or excessive overdue materials and no library fines in excess of $5.00).<\/li>\n<li>User must be 11 years of age or older.<\/li>\n<li>User must have a signed laptop loan agreement on file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Loan Periods and Borrowing Policies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patrons must sign a laptop loan agreement.<\/li>\n<li>Laptops will be checked out on the patron\u2019s library card.<\/li>\n<li>Laptops are for use within the library only and cannot be removed from the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Patrons under the age of 17 must use a PC if available. Laptops will only be loaned if no PC is available.<\/li>\n<li>Patrons under the age of 17 must use the laptop at the table in the reference area.<\/li>\n<li>Laptops are available for use for \u00bd hour if other patrons are waiting; otherwise, there is no time restriction.<\/li>\n<li>Users must notify a staff member when they are finished using a laptop and sign the sign-out sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Laptop users are expected to act in a lawful and respectful manner, and are required to adhere to the conditions of the Libraries of Foster\u2019s Internet Use Policy.<\/li>\n<li>All laptops must be returned to the circulation desk 15 minutes before closing.<\/li>\n<li>The patron to whom the laptop is checked out will be responsible for any loss or damage of the laptop during his\/her session. The patron will be liable for any costs due to damage or loss of the laptop up to and including the replacement cost of the laptop ($2,500.00).<\/li>\n<li>Printing from laptops is not available.\u00a0Laptop users wishing to print must save the document externally and print from one of the library\u2019s PCs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Libraries of Foster Laptop Loan Policy Laptops are available to extend the Libraries\u2019 Internet service and to offer the use of Microsoft Office software.
