  • BYOB (Bring Your Own Book)

    Join us on Tuesday, January 17th at 6pm at the Foster Public Library for BRING YOUR OWN BOOK! Rather than have everyone read the same book, we ask each participant to bring whatever books they’ve recently finished. You get to choose whatever page count and subject matter appeals to you. And it’s a great way to get recommendations for your next read!

    Refreshments will be provided. The event will be available by Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. Please provide your email if you would like to be sent a Zoom link on the day of the event.

  • Appalachian Trail Night with Aaron LaPrade

    Join us at Foster Public Library at 6pm on January 12th for a presentation by Aaron LaPrade. Aaron has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (from Georgia all the way to Maine!) and has a great deal of photos, stories, and insight to share from his travels.

  • Grab and Go Beaded Snowflakes

    Visit Foster Public Library anytime during the week of December 28 for grab and go craft! Pipe cleaners, beads, and instructions are provided in a convenient bag. Assemble your snowflakes here or at home, and display them in your window for winter. Make sure to take photos of your finished craft and share them with us!

  • Homeschool Book Club

    Join at at 1 pm every Wednesday at Foster Public Library for Homeschool Book Club!

    We welcome all kids grade K – 5 to share your love of reading. Bring any book that you liked and share your reading experience, then do crafts with friends. While you’re here, check out a new book for next time!

  • Kids’ Yarn Craft – Winter Gnomes

    Join us at Tyler Free Library on Wednesday, December 28th at 2:00pm to makes cute winter gnomes made of yarn!

  • Sing-a-long with Julie Garnett

    Join us on Wednesday, December 14, at 6:30pm at Foster Public Library for a very special sing-a-long event!

    Listen to local RI author Julie Garnett read her book “Animal Songs” and join in with singing holiday tunes. This event is fun for the whole family!

  • Diorama Ornament Workshop

    Join us on Thursday, December 15th at 6pm at the Foster Public Library as we create a tiny, festive world inside an ornament!

  • URI Master Gardeners: Putting The Garden to Bed

    Join us at Foster Public Library on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 6:30pm as Bill Baddeley from the URI Master Gardeners gives us a presentation on winterizing your garden, providing nesting areas for native bees and best practices for jump starting your garden next season! Bill will also be able to answer any questions you have.
