  • Diorama Ornament Workshop

    Join us on Thursday, December 15th at 6pm at the Foster Public Library as we create a tiny, festive world inside an ornament!

  • Thanksgiving Gratitude Trees

    Join us next Thursday at Foster Public Library as we make Thanksgiving gratitude trees, the perfect centerpiece for a Thanksgiving table!

    This event takes place at the Foster Public Library at 6:30 on November 17, 2022. Register by calling the library at (401) 397-4801.

  • URI Master Gardeners: Putting The Garden to Bed

    Join us at Foster Public Library on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 6:30pm as Bill Baddeley from the URI Master Gardeners gives us a presentation on winterizing your garden, providing nesting areas for native bees and best practices for jump starting your garden next season! Bill will also be able to answer any questions you have.

  • Needle Felting Holiday Gnomes Craft

    Join us at Tyler Free Library on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1pm as we host Christine from Sweet Briar Handicrafts and create needle felted holiday gnomes! This event is for teens and adults.

  • Ribbon Wreath Event

    Join us at Foster Public Library on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 6:30pm as we make ribbon wreaths for the holidays! Each participant will leave with a 12-inch ribbon wreath. This event is for teens and adults.

  • Paper Airplane Contest

    Paper Airplane Contest

    Flight Test: May 1-22

    Most Creative Voting: May 24-29

    Bring in & test your submissions at the library by May 22nd

    Make your best and most creative paper airplane and bring your creation into the library. Test your plane’s flying capabilities to be entered into our contest as to who’s plane can fly the farthest. Leave your plane at the library and starting the last week of May all the paper airplanes will be voted on by library patrons for their favorite design. Both winners will receive a prize! Two groups, children and adults.

  • Black-Out Poetry Kit

    Black-Out Poetry Kit

    April 1-30

    Stop by the library all month long and pick up a kit to make your own black-out poem, perfect for Poetry Month. Send in a finished photo of your poems to info@fosterlibraries.org or bring them back to the library to be put on display.

    Stop in to show off your latest knitting project to a group who appreciate and enjoy knitting. Come see what others are working on. Pick up tips on where to find wool and check out our collection of books and magazines for knitters of all ages!

    The knitting and crochet group meets every Wednesday at 6pm at Foster Public Library.
