    Join us at Foster Public Library for cozy craft time every week with Miss Millie. Listen to music, chat with fellow crafters, and borrow our equipment & materials to make your DIY dreams come true! Drop in between 12-2 on Fridays.

  • Paper Pumpkins & Clothespin Bats

    Join us on Friday, October 11 at Tyler Free Library for paper pumpkins and clothespin bats! Give your jack o’lanterns and bats a unique personality with all the craft supplies you can dream of.

    All ages welcome, and all materials provided. To register, you may call either library, contact mdubois@fosterlibraries.org, or sign up on our online form.

  • Trunk or Treat 2024

    Join us on Saturday October 26 for Trunk or Treat! Safely trick or treat at your neighbors’ cars, join our costume parade, walk the spooky trail, and enjoy the Dancing Witches of RI!

    The parade will meet at the library at 4:30. Trunk or Treat will be open from 5-7, and the spooky trail will be open from 6-8.

    If you are able to donate candy or volunteer your vehicle for the evening, please contact the library.

    The rain date for this event is October 27 at the same time.

  • DND for Kids and Teens

    Whether you’re a Dungeons and Dragons veteran or have never even rolled a die before, we welcome all players to the table!

    We have all the dice sets and worksheets. Just bring your great ideas!

    The session will begin at 5pm on October 7 at Tyler Free Library. If you have not joined us before and need to create a character, please arrive at 4:30.

  • Henna with Reena

    Decorate your hands with the beautiful art of henna! Reena will be at Foster Public Library on September 19 to work her design magic on you.

    This program is limited to 12 participants. Please call the library or sign up online to register.

  • Sugar’s Story

    Join Jane from Animal Rescue RI for the story of a little puppy! This event coincides with homeschool book club on Wednesday, September 18 at 1pm. We would be delighted to see you there!

  • Sewing Club – Pillowcases

    This September, the Tyler Free sewing circle is making pillowcases!

    Please bring your machine if you have one. We will have others to share if you need. Registration is encouraged, but not required. Please call the library or email info@fosterlibraries.org

    If you are bringing fabric, here is what you’ll need to make one:

    Main Body fabric – 3/4 yard for an all over print or solid.  If your print is one way you may need 1 1/2 yards to make the print go the correct direction.

    Cuff Fabric – 12″ or 1/3 yard.

    Accent Strip – 2″ by length of fabric

    If you’re making two matching pillows, double these instructions.

  • Pipe Cleaner Art

    Join us at Foster Library on September 12 at 6:30 or Tyler Free Library on September 21 at 2:00 to make plants & animals out of pipe cleaners!

    We have plenty of watercolor paper waiting for your imagination! Make a very hungry caterpillar, a grouchy ladybug, a brown bear, or any other character you can think of.
